For those accessing Bobcat Stadium: At this time, the road, at the start of the one way on Sterling, is closed. We will still allow fans to park behind the bleachers at the stadium, but you will have to enter and exit from the east side. Please exercise caution as this is a congested area on game days and safety of our fans and community are of the most importance.

On Monday, October 17, Aberdeen will be striped for parking spaces and safety areas to finish the paving project. Please be aware of this as parking will not be allowed on Aberdeen during the process and may affect pick up and drop off for the day. Thank you for you understanding in advance for this issue.

Congratulations to Francis Madrid, Middle School Custodian, on winning the October "Rockstar Elvis" Award that depicts doing better for all in the district and community. Francis was nominated by multiple staff members and always brings a positive attitude with her. She is a very deserving recipient and congratulations on this outstanding recognition.

PUBLIC NOTICE: The October Board meeting scheduled for October 17, 2022 has been rescheduled to October 24, 2022 at 6PM in the Board Room at Hagerman Middle School. The schedule change was necessitated by a conflict with the Superintendent's schedule. Public notice of the October 24 meeting with agenda will be done in accordance with the public meeting law prior to the metting.

On Monday, October 10, the district will have a Professional Development Day for all staff. Students do not need to report as that is a day off for students. Staff will be on campus but unavailable for calls or emails as this is a district wide training day for all staff. Thank you for your understanding in this matter.

On Thursday, September 29, 2022, the Aberdeen Paving Project for the town will continue with the installation of the speed tables. This will disrupt some parking in the area--no Parking on Aberdeen from school zone to railroad tracks--as well as pick up/drop off. Please be aware of this as you make plans for dropping off or picking up your child. The project should be done on by Friday afternoon, and will return to normal. If any changes, the district will keep you posted.

Hagerman Municipal Schools would like to congratulate, Mrs. Jessica Copeland, 1st Grade Teacher for Hagerman Elementary, on being the first recipient of the "Rockstar Elvis" Excellence Award which depicts doing better for all she serves. She was voted on by staff, in a close vote, as the winner and Mrs. Copeland gets to keep the Traveling Elvis trophy for one month. The award will be voted upon by staff each month. Again, congratulations to Mrs. Copeland and that she does in the classroom and in the theater, and many other things, for our students.

HMS is aware of the predictions of flooding in the region from weekend rains. The situation is being monitored and if the conditions change, notifications will be sent out from the district on an early dismissal, if needed. Currently, conditions are good, but will be monitored to ensure the safety of all.

To All Parents/ Students/Staff: The District will be testing the new notification system through Appetegy, our website in the next few weeks. You will received district notices and buildings notices, but the messages will be labeled as DISTRICT TEST MESSAGE or BUILDING TEST MESSAGE with some text about the drill being performed. They will be sent out through the text and phone calling feature.
