Judging season is one of the most demanding and rewarding times in agricultural education, and our students rose to the challenge this year in a big way.
From early morning practices to long travel days and late nights, these students put in the work. They balanced school, practices, and competitions, all while representing Hagerman with pride, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
This past week at State FFA Judging, our students competed against the best in New Mexico, and the results speak for themselves:
Agronomy – State Champions
Luke Gray – High Point Individual
Nursery Landscape – 5th Place
We also had multiple teams and individuals competing at a high level throughout the week, with more results continuing to come in.
Success in judging is not just about results—it’s about growth, commitment, and learning how to handle both wins and setbacks. This group did exactly that.
Thank you to our students for your hard work, to our families for your continued support, and to our school staff for helping make this possible. It takes a team to build a successful program, and this season is a reflection of that.

Hagerman FFA is excited to assist in hosting the Amigos Career Development Event (CDE) Invitational on March 14, 2026, in Roswell, New Mexico, and we are currently seeking volunteers from our community, agriculture industry partners, FFA alumni, and supporters of education.
This contest brings together FFA members from across New Mexico to develop leadership, career skills, and technical agricultural knowledge through competitive events — and volunteers make it possible!

Hagerman Schools Update: County roads have still not been cleared, and buses are unable to get through. Thursday, January 29, will be a virtual learning day. We are hopeful to return to in-person learning on Monday, February 2. Thank you for your patience and understanding as we continue to prioritize safety.
